Codex model access
Use the default Jotsu models mode or connect your organization's own credentials for interactive Codex.
Interactive Codex uses Jotsu models by default. Your organization can instead connect its own credentials or subscription.
The selected mode controls model access, billing, and which models Codex can use.

Use the default Jotsu models mode
Every organization starts in Jotsu models mode. No external provider account or credentials are required.
This mode gives Codex access to models that Jotsu has configured for coding tools, long context, and agentic work.
The catalog can include non-OpenAI models. These models may cost less for suitable coding tasks while remaining available through the same Jotsu usage and billing system.
Codex usage consumes the inference credits included with your organization's plan. Usage beyond those credits follows Inference pricing.
Connect your own credentials
An organization can connect supported credentials or a subscription for interactive Codex. Model availability, limits, and charges then come from that provider.
OpenAI subscriptions are heavily subsidized compared with equivalent API usage and can provide significant savings for interactive coding. Subscription limits and OpenAI's usage policies still apply.
Jotsu does not charge inference usage for Codex requests sent through the connected account.
What the setting changes
The selected access method applies to interactive Codex sessions in the Builder. It does not change application inference, initial application creation, background repairs, or direct Jotsu API access.
Organization administrators manage Codex access under Settings → Codex. Changing the access method closes active interactive Codex terminals before new sessions begin.
